ANIMAL ADVOCATES OF HOWARD COUNTY
is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing the suffering of animals in our area. They work with dozens of species, breed, and wildlife rescue groups, including their own sister organization Tails of Hope, all of which pull animals in trouble from local shelters. They provide free spay/neuter services to income-eligible residents, and provide information regarding reduced cost services to all others.
Animal Advocates participate in many humane education programs for young people.
FRIENDS OF RABBITS AND HOUSE RABBIT SANCTUARY
are a nonprofit rabbit rescue group. They provide assistance to domestic rabbits in need of good homes, as well as services to the families who live with them. Rabbits available for adoption generally come from shelters, have been examined by a veterinarian and are spayed or neutered. They live indoors in foster homes where they are provided a safe environment and an opportunity to play and exercise.
Friends of Rabbits provides rabbit supplies, rabbit sitting and nail clipping services, bunny spa days, educational discussions and other fun and interesting events throughout the year.
